Preparing for Your RV Inspection
An RV inspection will provide you a thorough examination of the RV from the roof to the tires, inside and out. Depending on the type of RV you are purchasing, expect the inspection to take between 3 and 8 hours to complete.
You are welcome to be there during the inspection, however, it is not required. If you are not there, the inspector will contact you with a verbal report once the inspection is completed. Your written report and photos will be emailed to you within 24 to 48 hours, sooner if required. Please note: fluid analysis takes longer to complete.
The following will allow us to perform a complete inspection:
-
Position the RV on a flat surface where the leveling system can be checked.
-
Provide all maintenance records and vehicle manuals as available.
-
Plug the RV into 30 or 50 amp power.
-
Connect water hose if possible.
-
Put water in the fresh water tank.
-
Empty black and gray water tanks.
-
Connect sewer hose if possible.
-
Provide enough propane to run all systems.
-
Make sure there is fuel to run the generator [above 1/4 tank].
-
Have batteries charged-up.
-
Turn on the refrigerator and ice maker at least 12 hours prior to inspection.
-
Empty the oven and the microwave.
-
Have all remote controls available.
-
Keys to the RV should be on hand in case they are needed.
Your assistance is appreciated! We look forward to serving you!
